Kevin Reynolds is the salon owner and Style Director.  Trained in the Republic of Ireland , he’s a talented London hairdresser who had his own salon in the West End of London where he worked and lived for 15 years.  Kevin moved to Bedfordshire over 3 years ago.  He still has clients in London but focuses mainly on his Bedfordshire clientele.  Kevin’s a popular local figure – an extrovert, direct, funny and - true to his extroverted nature - loves people.  

“I’ve seen a lot of good haircuts and a lot of bad haircuts in my time, obviously.  What I want to bring to Bedfordshire is an up-market salon, staffed by energetic, approachable people who are extremely good hair stylists, colourists and beauty therapists.  I’m not looking for divas.  The Opera’s the place for that. My staff understand having a haircut is scary for a lot of clients - certainly until they get to know the stylist!  And we’re here to minimize the anxiety and optimize the results.  This is a people business, staffed by creative personalities who’ll be allowed enough space to grow into their craft so long as we all march to the beat of the same drum.  And the tune goes like this - serve our clients, give a beautiful haircut,  colour or beauty treatment and a transformative, relaxing experience.” 

Lynn Somerfield has been Kevin’s ‘other half’ for over 20 years.  Lynn had a successful career in advertising for 18 years before a mid-life career change into reflexology and aromatherapy, finally settling on her current occupation of transpersonal psychotherapy which Lynn feels is her true metier.  Lynn is responsible for the business side of the venture and will concentrate on ensuring that the salon runs smoothly so the clients’ needs can be met.   

Lynn is also extroverted, enjoying people and life’s challenges.  “I am one of life’s jokers and always ready for a laugh; I like people and find them fascinating – listening to their troubles, finding points of common interest or just fooling around.  I’m looking forward to this new venture, not least because of the wide variety of people it will bring into our lives.”
